My last Christmas list recommendation was in 2016. A lot of tech innovations have come out since then and I thought it was time to make a new list.
My first recommendation is the Apple watch which is a great gift for the active person. The Apple Watch is a smartwatch that connects to your iPhone delivering notifications making calls, sending texts or running apps.
You can access processed information from your phone with ease. When you get a new message on your watch, you can read it by simply raising your wrist. Using the message app you can view and respond to text messages. By turning the digital crown you can scroll to the bottom of the message.
The Series 2, 3 and 4 watch is waterproof up to 50 meters and so you can wear it in the shower. However, soap and shampoos can negatively affect it.
This is a great gift and I hope that someone might give it to me, but I don’t think my family can afford the $500 plus cost.
My next pick is Alexa, but this is not the Alexa we are familiar with. This Alexa has a 5.5-inch screen, which has crisp features. It will give you the latest news, weather and sports events. You can create notes, shopping lists or listen to music. Alexa increases its smartness every month giving you additional help. If you have a smart house, Alexa can help you with that.
Then there is the Ring Video doorbell 2. You have probably seen the TV ads scaring thieves away with this doorbell. With 2 Pro you can draw boxes in the video to select motion detection zones. The main difference between 2 and pro is that 2 is 720p and Pro is 1080p. Pro is also smaller in width and is better looking.
