New Apple iPhone 6
Have you got your new iPhone 6 yet? iPhone fans last Fall were lining up at stores to buy it. I had a look at one recently. My first impression was that the screen size was not too imposing and the feel of it in my hand was impressive.
New tech features of iPhone 6
The new tech features include a second-generation 64-bit chipset, a new camera system and supports up to 150 Mbps LTG and 802.11 acWi-Fi.
Battery life is supposed to last 11 hours and that should be good for most users. However, my S5 battery lasts several days which is the best battery life I have ever had. A tip to remember to improve battery life is to close out of applications when you are done using them.
OS 8, the newest iOS operating system, reportedly has a few problems including apps that abruptly stop working, random iCloud password prompts and complete system crashes. Hopefully, Apple will quickly issue updates to resolve these problems.
The iPhone arrives with everything you need to get started, including the SIM card if it’s part of your carrier plan. And, most carrier plans offer a way for you to transfer data from your old iPhone to the new one. Be sure to back up your iPhone in iTunes prior to switching.
If you take a lot pictures, you might like optical stabilization technology available on the iPhone 6 plus, which gives your sensor upgrades, and the new “Focus Pixel” technology, which improves the phone’s ability to select auto-focus points.
Hope you enjoy your new iPhone!
